Design and development

Overview

SiteHost is one of New Zealand's leading hosting providers, and my current workplace. I redesigned and rebuilt their website from scratch, working closely with the marketing team to reflect their modern approach and make the site fast, accessible, and easy to maintain.

The problem

The old website didn't reflect how modern the company had become, and was hard to update.

The goal

Build a fast, modern website that the marketing team can easily update and maintain.

Design and prototyping

Overview

Estadio CDF is a Smart TV app for streaming live football and on demand content. I redesigned the interface to work better with remote controls, making it easier to navigate and reflecting the channel's new brand identity.

The problem

The app was built for desktop and didn't work well on TVs. Navigation was confusing with a remote control.

The goal

Design an interface that works naturally with a remote control and reflects the channel's new brand.

Community Platform

Overview

Migrants in Tech is a New Zealand community that connects international tech professionals with local opportunities. I created this platform as a personal project to provide a centralised resource for the community.

With backing from Auckland Council, who organise the events, we enhanced the platform to better serve the community's needs, helping people discover upcoming events, browse past ones, and network with fellow professionals.

The problem

The tech community lacked a centralised hub where members could access event information, connect with other professionals, and find a record of previous events. This made networking difficult and reduced overall community visibility.

The goal

The main goal was to create a community platform that would serve as the central resource for event information and professional networking. The website needed to be intuitive, fast, easy for users to navigate and maintain, and effective at fostering genuine connections within Auckland's migrant tech community.

Social video - TradeMe Jobs

Overview

Trade Me Jobs needed a series of videos showcasing local businesses for their social media. I edited and created motion graphics for three videos, keeping them consistent with the brand's style across the series.

The problem

The videos needed to feel like a series while staying true to Trade Me's brand.

The goal

Create three videos that work together as a series, following the brand guidelines closely.
